How to use the Agremo web app

 

The Agremo web app offers you the possibility to turn drone imagery into valuable agricultural insights in just a few clicks. Here is what you need to do:

Important note: please upload only stitched, georeferenced images. You can use any stitching tool you like - we recommend using DroneDeploy

CREATE AN ACCOUNT

Go to the Agremo website and create an account by clicking Sign up/Log in located in the upper right corner or visit Agremo Web App:

Go to Create an Agremo Account and enter the email address you would like to link your account to and type in the remaining account information. Got it? Welcome to Agremo!

 

ADD A FIELD

To add your first field, click the button Add Field in the upper left corner:

Enter the field location and the required information. You’ll then be asked whether you’d like to add a map to this field – click yes.

The field’s location doesn’t have to be too precise, as it will be adjusted automatically based on the data from the georeferenced map. The purpose of entering a location is just to allow you to find your fields and analyses on the desktop when you log in the next time.

The data you enter is treated as confidential information: the field and location data you enter is only visible to you and we will never share your personal data with others.

 

UPLOAD A MAP


Now, to upload a map to your newly created field, prepare a zip file with stitched images of your field (GeoTIFF format). Note that you cannot upload raw images, as drone data is extracted from stitched GeoTiff maps, not JPEG pictures:

In case you still haven’t turned your raw images into a map, just upload your images to a stitching platform such as DroneDeploy. They’ll stitch the individual images together for you and have your 2D map ready in no time. The map you get from them is what you upload to Agremo.

Once the upload of your stitched GeoTIFF image to Agremo is completed, you will receive an email notification. 

Also, find your map by clicking the Field list icon in the top bar:

To launch the analysis process, open the field you want to analyze by clicking the field’s name.

Another way to access your map after uploading it is to click the according to pin on the app home screen:

Then, a window with all maps of this field appears. Click on the map you want to analyze:

SELECT THE AREA YOU WANT TO ANALYZE


Now that you have uploaded and opened your map, you need to mark the area on your field that you want to analyze. This is also called creating an annotation.

To create an annotation, select the area measurement tool on the left sidebar:

NOTE: This step is important because analysis will be performed only on the selected area.

Use the dots of the area management tool to mark the area you would like to analyze.

During the selection of AOI (Area of Interest), you can go a step back, and undo the last AOI step by pressing ESC on your keyboard.

You can select the entire field or only parts of it. In this case, we would like to know how many plants there are in this particular area:

If you wish to select multiple AOIs or polygons, you can do it by holding SHIFT on your keyboard, and clicking on desired polygons. Please, keep in mind that the requested analysis on multiple polygons will create a cumulative report for the total area under the selected AOIs.

REQUEST AN ANALYSIS


Click on the area you’ve selected in the previous step. Then go to the bar in the upper part of the screen and click Choose Analysis. The following menu will appear:

Hover over the icons to see exact descriptions of the analyses. In this example, we are going to request a Plant Population analysis. This report is one of 9 Agremo reports and tells you the exact number of plants on your field (or on a specific area of your field).

After selecting the analysis you want to perform, a window will appear where you’ll need to fill in the required information. Once you’ve entered your information, click Run Analysis.

 

After this, you’ll receive a confirmation email, as well as a message on your screen saying that your analysis was successfully submitted:

That’s all! Your map will be on the way to our team and you’ll have your report ready within 2 business days or less.

The email you get from us after 2 business days or less contains your final report.

Besides this, you can access and download your report on the Agremo app by clicking the icon in the lower right corner of your field screen:

Click on Stats, after which your results appear:

To perform another analysis on the same area or on the same field, simply submit another request following the same steps as described above.
